What is Music Production? #1

In this video we explain what is music production and what are the general components of Ableton Live and Logic Pro.
Basic music production involves the process of creating, recording, and arranging music using various tools and techniques. Music production often begins with recording. This can involve capturing performances of musicians, singers, or even electronic instruments. Recording can be done in a professional studio or at home using a computer and audio interface. A DAW is software used for music production. Popular DAWs include Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, and FL Studio. These platforms provide a workspace for recording, editing, arranging, and mixing audio and MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) tracks.

Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

In this video we make a very popular song in EDM genre. Martin Garrix is known for his signature progressive and big-room house sound. His tracks often feature catchy melodies, powerful drops, and energetic rhythms. He has a talent for creating anthemic and crowd-pleasing music.
The main vst instrument we use is called Serum. Serum is a wavetable synthesizer, which means it generates sound by manipulating wavetables. Wavetables are essentially a collection of different waveforms, allowing you to morph between them to create evolving and dynamic sounds.

Making beats for Shoushiki Dance

In this video we will make a very popular Armenian tune called Shoushiki Dance. The main piece is originally composed for piano by the great Komitas but we will arrange it in different genre including parts of bass and drums. Komitas is best known for his extensive research and collection of Armenian folk music. He traveled throughout historic Armenia and collected thousands of folk songs, dances, and chants, preserving them for future generations. His work was crucial in documenting and conserving Armenia's rich musical heritage.

Making beats for Qochari Dance

Time to make some hard hitting beats for an Armenian folk dance Qochari. Qochari is one of the most famous and beloved Armenian folk dances. It is a group dance performed at celebrations and festive occasions. Dancers form a circle and perform synchronized steps and movements to the accompaniment of traditional Armenian instruments like the dhol  and zurna (double-reed woodwind instrument). Beat making for Qochari will be the process of creating rhythmic patterns, also known as beats, for music production. These beats serve as the foundation of a song, providing the rhythm and groove that the rest of the music builds upon.
